2022 Hair Trends
With 2022 upon us we wanted to share with you our top hair tips for the new year because nothing helps to get that ‘new year new you’ feeling than a new hair do!
Nectar hair
This trend is all about getting that expensive looking blonde. Think the honey locks of Adele. To embrace this trend it’s time to ditch the purple shampoo and ask your Stylist for a dark golden blonde base with chunkier face framing vanilla lights. We aren’t talking yellow or brassy, we are describing rich warm and glossy tones.

Natural Texture
This trend has been making a steady comeback for the last year but is going viral for 2022! It’s time to embrace what nature gave you whether it’s 3D curls or loose waves, we are here for it! However this trend can be tricky to get your head around, especially if you’ve been battling against your natural texture for years. Some help from your stylist will be needed. Ask for product recommendations to get the most out of your texture and a haircut to bring that texture back to life. This could include a curl by curl cut to really make those curls pop!

Bottleneck Fringes
A bottleneck fringe is much softer than a traditional straight cut fringe that we typically think of. Think of the shape of a bottle being slimmer at the top and widening at the bottom of the bottle neck.
Ask your stylist for a fringe that is soft, choppy and importantly shorter in the middle but widens off to around the cheekbones on the outer edges. When styling this fringe try and emphasise the width in the sides but adding a slight curl out, a nod towards Farrah Faucet but much softer.
For help styling your bottleneck fringe we recommend a heated brush like the B.R.U.S.H 30mm
Glass Hair
Ok, so we know we are talking lots about texture and movement which is undoubtedly going to be big for 2022, but, if you are sticking with the straight look that’s fine, just be mindful of the ‘glass hair’ trend. Think of glass-like shine here. Hair without frizz or volume, just super sleek and shiny!
Hair health is imperative for this trend. Consider weekly conditioning treatments and hair supplements to keep the moisture levels right and hair supplements for healthy hair growth and vitality.
The Bouncy Blow Out
The bouncy blow dry is having a makeover for 2022. Think more towards the ‘Rachel’ hairstyle in the 90’s- volume and flicks. Well this is making a comeback. For the last decade we have seen the curly blow dry trend go viral, these perfectly formed curls and waves are having a makeover and becoming softer and more flicky. Ask your stylist to add mid length layers to your long hair for the share to be right and then complete the look with a bouncy blow. Get the look at home using a hot brush to replicate the root lift with the flicky ends. Struggle to do your hair at home? As about a blow dry membership package where you can have unlimited blow dries for a monthly membership fee.
The Boy Bob
Ok, so the Bob haircut is going nowhere… it’s a firm favourite for us whether Jaw length or collarbone length, we just have a soft spot for this classic and versatile shape.
So what is a boy Bob? This is a classic short Bob without any shaping around the face. It’s called a Bob Bob because the shape is more square which has a slight masculine feel, however this Bob haircut comes into its own with a more undone way of styling. Think texture sprays and air drying to avoid a perfectly polished neat Bob look. Ask your stylist for a jaw length Bob that can still tuck behind the ears without any face framing.
We can’t wait to see you for your 2022 makeover!
