Honouring Our Roots

HEIR Salon’s New Chapter at a Historic Location

Continuing a Legacy with New Beginnings in Wrea Green

The name “HEIR” isn’t just a clever play on words, it’s a reflection of our commitment to carrying forward the work and values of those who came before us.

Quite literally “Continuing the work of a Predecessor”

As a business we embody this in everything we do.

Pat Graham Salon, 1967, Wrea Green.

This belief has never felt more poignant than it does now, as we start an exciting new chapter by relocating our salon to from Park Street in Lytham to 17 Ribby Road in Wrea Green, Lancashire.

This move is more than just a change of location.

It’s a new chapter in a journey that began over 50 years ago with a local legend who helped shape the hairdressing industry.

Continuing the Work of a Predecessor

The story of our new location begins in 1967, when a determined young woman named Pat Wood opened her first salon, “Pat Graham Hair Salon,” right here at 17 Ribby Road.

Pat had a vision and a passion that would propel her to the heights of the hairdressing world.

Over the years, Pat’s name became synonymous with excellence.

She moved on to establish the renowned Septembers Salon in Blackpool before rebranding as Saks, where her influence grew even stronger.

As a Two-Time British Hairdresser of the Year, Pat has left an indelible mark on the industry, not just locally but nationally.

Pat and her team, back in the day.

For Natalie, one of the twin sisters behind HEIR Salon, Pat wasn’t just a well-known figure in the industry, she was an incredible mentor.

Natalie started her career at 15, working at Saks in Blackpool under Pat’s guidance.

Those early years shaped her, giving her a deep respect for the craft and a strong desire to carry on the high standards and innovative hairdressing that Pat represented.

Coming Full Circle: Our Move to Wrea Green

HEIR Salon, 17 Ribby Road, Wrea Green 20th August 2024. Natalie and Pat.

Now, 57 years after Pat first opened her doors on Ribby Road, we are honoured to return to this historic location.

For us, this move feels like destiny, as if the circle has come round, bringing us back to where it all began.

Bringing a legacy home.

We’ve always dreamed of owning a salon and training the next generation of stylists. As twin sisters, our journey in hairdressing has been one of shared goals and mutual support, driven by a passion that has been with us since childhood.

Now, with HEIR Salon’s new home at 17 Ribby Road, we are excited to create a space where we can inspire and nurture new talent, just as we were once inspired.

Honouring the Past, Shaping the Future

We are committed to upholding the values that have been instilled in us from strong women of our past, including Pat. Including dedication to our skills, respect for our clients, and a pursuit of excellence.

We’re so proud to honour her legacy while also carving out our own path, one that reflects our exciting vision for the future of hairdressing.

Our move to Wrea Green is a new chapter in our story, after 14 years in Lytham, it’s also a continuation of a tradition that has spanned generations.
